When is the museum closed?
Every Wednesday. However, the museum is open on Wednesdays that fall on national holidays, throughout July and August, and over the New Year’s holiday period.
Are coin lockers available?
We have coin lockers that are free of charge, using 100-yen coins as deposits.
Do you have barrier-free support and services?
There is a wheelchair-friendly toilet on-site, and wheelchairs are available to borrow. There is no elevator, but it is possible to move up and down stairways using a stairlift.
Is re-entry permitted?
Provided that you show your ticket, re-entry is permitted during the same day as initial entry.
Is there a restaurant on-site?
We do not have a restaurant, but there is a tea room on-site for drinks only.There are also several restaurants nearby.
Is there a parking lot? Are there charges for parking?
We have a parking lot that is free of charge.
Can the original goods from Ikeda Museum only be purchased by visiting Ikeda Museum of 20th Century Art?
Yes, these goods are sold exclusively at the museum shop.
Group use
Are there any benefits offered for group bookings?
Yes: groups of 15 or more persons receive a 10% discount.
Is it necessary to make a reservation when visiting as a group?
Making a reservation will ensure a smooth reception process. Also, reservations are necessary if you would like to have the works explained.
